The CMC Triskelion tripod is a silver and red industrial rescue tripod designed for rapid deployment, ease of use and versatility, with multiple rigging options for confined space and industrial rescues.
Its working height range adapts to low-clearance areas and extends far enough to haul patients in full-size litters. It is certified to NFPA General Use, EN 795:2012 Type B for single person use and CEN/TS 16415:2013 Type B for 2 person use.
The tripod comes with a hobble strap, a carry bag and a leg strap.
Key features
- Wide working height — A working height of 1.7-3 m (5.5-10 ft) lets rescuers reach low-clearance areas at the minimum setting and haul patients from a confined space using a harness or litter at the maximum.
- Head-mounted pulleys — Two head-mounted stainless steel pulleys are compatible with cable and rope up to 13 mm (1/2 in).
- Rigging anchor points — Three side-plate anchor points suit 4:1 pulley systems, and three further tie-off points are available for additional rigging or stabilisation.
- Winch mounting options — Several mounting options are provided for the Harken LokHead Winch and the DBI-Sala Salalift II Winch, with icons to guide installation so the winch aligns with the head-mounted pulleys.
- Rectangular legs — The rectangular leg shape prevents spinning and keeps the adjustment holes and tripod feet aligned, while built-in stoppers keep the inner legs from pulling out and allow full extension without risk of separation.
- Glove-friendly push pins — Large, quick-action, ball-lock push pins secure the legs, are easily handled with gloves and are kept attached by robust lanyards.
- Pivoting feet — Pivoting feet adapt the tripod to a variety of surfaces and angles, with non-slip tread for hard floors and spiked tips for soft earth.
- Clear leg graphics — High contrast graphics are easy to see in low light, and the leg height numbering stays clear in noisy environments.
- Single hobble strap — A red webbing hobble strap secures all three legs at the base with a single quick-connect Cobra Buckle, and is lighter than chain and faster than using multiple lengths of material.
- Reinforced carry bag — The reinforced carry bag can be carried by two people using the end handles, or by one person using the padded centre shoulder strap.
