Apraksts
The small black sit harness of the Outback Convertible Harness, a lightweight modular system for technical teams working in remote areas.
This sit harness is the base of the Outback modular system: every team member wears the belt, edge personnel add leg loops, and vertical technicians get the full ensemble.
It carries EN 12277:2015+A1:2018 and is tested to ASTM F1772-24.
Anyone between sizes, or planning to wear several layers of clothing, is advised to size up for more range in the waist belt circumference.
Key features
- Quick-connect waist belt — The waist belt is donned using a quick-connect Cobra Buckle.
- Narrow belt profile — The waist belt is a narrow 5 cm (2 in) wide, so it fits through most belt loops.
- Molle compatibility — The waist belt is compatible with a number of Molle attachments.
- Leg loops added in the field — A patent-pending integration system adds leg loops without opening the belt.
- Donned with gear on — Leg loops can be fitted without removing a backpack, skis, snowshoes or crampons.
- Aluminium D-ring — The aluminium D-ring on the leg loop assembly is more durable than fabric and fits multiple connections without cross loading.
- Chest unit option — A chest unit can be integrated without opening the sit harness, and its sternal attachment point serves backup systems or helicopter operations.
- Shareable chest unit — The chest unit is universally sized, allowing it to be shared between team members in the field.
- Gear loop accessory — A gear loop attaches quickly to the waist belt while it is being worn.
Typical applications
- Rescue and climbing operations in remote terrain.
- Caving and backcountry work.
- Tactical and military teams that need a configurable harness.
