Kirjeldus
A black Dyneema soft shackle that fits through the CAPTO cam axle as an extra attachment point for remote resets and device stowage.
The CAPTO Soft Shackle is a companion accessory for the CAPTO. It installs through the CAPTO cam axle and gives the device an additional attachment point for remote resets and for stowing it on a harness or gear rack.
It is not a life-supporting or load bearing / rated attachment point. The low friction Dyneema braid has a 3.5 mm external diameter, so it can be hand fed through the 3.9 mm rivet hole in the CAPTO without mouse lines or other tools.
Key features
- Cam axle installation — It is compact and low friction, which makes it easy to install through the CAPTO cam axle.
- Sized for carabiners — The length is long enough for attaching carabiners yet short enough to prevent looping around the tail of the CAPTO cam.
- UV and abrasion resistant — The Dyneema braid is UV stabilised and abrasion resistant.
- Lighter than steel — It is 4-6 times lighter than equivalent stainless steel shackles.
- Soft, no metal parts — Being soft, it does not damage other equipment or people, and it can be threaded through narrow gaps where metal shackles cannot go.
- Tool-free operation — It opens and closes by moving the outer sheath, with no shackle opener required and no small parts that can loosen or fall out.
Typical applications
- Remote resetting of a CAPTO from a distance.
- Stowing a CAPTO on a harness or gear rack.
