Description
A 1-8x28 variable-magnification riflescope with an illuminated first focal plane reticle and quick-release Q-LOC mount, for close quarter battle and long-distance marksmanship.
The VCOG 1-8x28 is a variable magnification riflescope designed for close quarter battle (CQB) and long-distance marksmanship, built around a forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing and finished in FDE FIR-265 Cerakote.
Its red segmented circle / MOA crosshair dot reticle sits in the first focal plane, so subtensions and holds remain true at any magnification. The reticle is LED-illuminated and powered by a single AA battery, which is provided.
The scope comes on a quick-release mount with Trijicon Q-LOC technology that fits any Mil-Spec or NATO Picatinny rail.
Key features
- First focal plane — Subtensions and drops remain true throughout the magnification range, so the shooter can apply the correct hold quickly at any setting.
- Universal MOA reticle — The segmented circle / MOA crosshair dot reticle is designed for multi-platform use, accommodating multiple calibres, ammunition weights and barrel lengths.
- 11 brightness settings — The LED reticle offers 11 user-selectable settings: 2 night vision, 8 day and 1 super-bright, with an off position between each setting.
- Long battery life — A single AA battery gives a battery life of 633 hours at setting 6.
- Q-LOC quick-release mount — The spring-loaded, one-handed, tool-less mount maintains retention and zero even when the knobs are not tightened.
- Integrated dial fin — A dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and near-constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustment is needed.
- Rugged and waterproof — The housing is tested to MIL-STD-810G and the scope is waterproof to 20 metres.
- Multi-coated lenses — Multi-coated lenses provide clarity and light-gathering capability with zero distortion.
Typical applications
- Close quarter battle at low magnification, with the variable range available for longer engagements.
- Long-distance marksmanship with holds applied directly from the reticle.
- Duty and professional rifles on Picatinny rails where the optic must be removed and refitted quickly.
- Use in low light, with two dedicated night vision brightness settings.
