Description
A 1-6x24 variable riflescope with an LED-illuminated red horseshoe dot / crosshair BDC reticle for .223 / 55 grain, for close quarter and longer-distance shooting.
The VCOG 1-6x24 is a rugged variable powered riflescope that covers close quarter battle (CQB) as well as long distance marksmanship. It carries a red horseshoe dot / crosshair reticle with bullet drop compensation calibrated for .223 / 55 grain.
The reticle sits in the first focal plane, so subtensions and drops remain true at any magnification. It is illuminated by an LED powered by a single AA battery, with 6 adjustable brightness settings.
The scope is supplied with the Flattop Thumbscrew Mount (TA51), so no conventional ring mounts are needed.
Key features
- First focal plane — The first focal plane reticle lets the user acquire the target quickly and apply the correct hold throughout the magnification range.
- BDC and ranging reticle — The bullet drop compensating and ranging reticle allows the shooter to estimate range quickly and apply the correct hold for .223 / 55 grain.
- LED illumination — The LED reticle offers 6 brightness settings with an off position between each setting, and runs for 700 hours at setting 4 on a lithium AA battery.
- Rugged housing — The housing is forged from 7075-T6 aircraft aluminium alloy and the scope is tested to MIL-STD-810G.
- Integrated mounting adapter — The integrated thumbscrew flattop adapter mounts directly to a rail and is compatible with many rails designed to fit the Trijicon ACOG.
- Dial fin and eye relief — An integrated dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and the constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustments are needed.
- Multi-coated lenses — Multi-coated lenses provide clarity and light-gathering capability with zero distortion.
- Waterproof — The scope is waterproof to 20 metres (66 ft.).
Typical applications
- Close quarter work at low magnification on a carbine
- Engaging targets at longer distances with holdover from the ballistic reticle
- Duty and training rifles for law enforcement and military units
