Description
An adjustable-LED red dot sight finished in hard-anodised coyote brown, selected for the USSOCOM Handgun Reflex Sight contract, built for professional handgun use.
Selected by U.S. Special Operations Command for the Handgun Reflex Sight contract after extensive testing and evaluation, this version closely matches the sight chosen by USSOCOM and is available to the commercial market. Its hard-anodised coyote brown coating is designed to reduce detection, and the housing carries special markings identifying its date of manufacture and unique serial number.
The Adjustable LED design puts illumination control in the user's hands: side buttons adjust brightness, toggle between manual and automatic modes, and power the sight down for storage. A manual setting holds for 16.5 hours before the sight defaults back to automatic mode, and the buttons can be locked out so the sight runs in automatic mode only, preventing accidental presses from disturbing the aiming solution. The sight is compatible with night vision devices, and the 3.25 MOA dot is small enough for accurate shooting at range while still being easy to locate quickly.
The patented housing shape absorbs impact and diverts stress away from the lens, the electronics are proven to perform on slide-ride pistols and other small arms, and the sight is waterproof to 20 metres (66 ft.). It runs on 1 CR2032 lithium battery rated for over 4 years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8, and windage and elevation adjust without special tools, at 1 MOA per click.
