Description
A Dual Defense kit pairing the RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED 3.25 MOA red dot with metal suppressor/optic height sights for the SIG Sauer M17/M18.
The Trijicon Dual Defense™ Kit combines the RMR® Type 2 Adjustable LED red dot with a metal-bladed suppressor/optic height sight set for the SIG Sauer M17/M18, adding speed and precision for self-defence, law enforcement, military, competition and target-pistol use. The sights sit at a height where the iron sight can be seen through the optic lens, so the co-witnessed sight picture gives a quick point of reference and a backup aiming solution if needed.
The 3.25 MOA dot is generated by an adjustable LED illumination source with 8 brightness settings, controlled by buttons on the sides of the housing that also toggle between manual and automatic modes and power the sight down for storage. A single CR2032 lithium battery gives over 4 years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8, and a battery conservation mode automatically adjusts the aiming dot to ambient lighting conditions after 16.5 hours.
The optic's housing is forged aluminium, shaped to divert the force of an impact away from the lens, and it is designed to be waterproof to 20 metres (66 ft.), giving the sight the durability needed for duty and field use.
