Description
A Dual Defense kit combining an RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED red dot with Suppressor/Optic Height night sights for SIG Sauer M17/M18 pistols.
This kit combines the Trijicon RMR Type 2 red dot with a Suppressor/Optic Height Sight Set on a single M17/M18 mounting plate, adding speed and precision for self-defence, law enforcement, military, competition or target shooting. The night sights are set to the correct height for the iron sight to be seen through the optic lens, so the co-witnessed sights give a quick back-up aiming point if needed.
It is built for the SIG Sauer M17/M18 commercial variant, with a forged aluminium housing finished in FDE Cerakote and a patented shape that diverts the force of an impact away from the lens.
Key features
- Adjustable LED illumination — The Adjustable LED reticle offers 8 illumination settings and lets the user toggle between manual and automatic brightness control with buttons on the housing.
- Battery conservation mode — A single CR2032 battery gives over 4 years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8, and the dot automatically adjusts to ambient light after 16.5 hours to conserve power.
- Simple windage and elevation — Windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA per click with no need for special tools, across a total adjustment range of 120 MOA.
- Co-witnessed night sights — The Suppressor/Optic Height night sights are set so the iron sight can be seen through the optic lens, giving a quick back-up aiming solution if needed.
- Durable, waterproof housing — A patented housing shape diverts the force of an impact away from the lens, and the forged aluminium body is designed to be waterproof to 20 metres (66 ft.).
- True-colour lens — The multi-coated lens gives wide-band light transmission, so target area colour changes only minimally when viewed through the optic.
Typical applications
- Concealed carry and duty use.
- Law enforcement and military service use.
- Practical and competition pistol shooting.
- Target shooting where a fast-acquiring red dot with back-up iron sights is useful.
