Description
A pen-sized, USB rechargeable ultraviolet penlight for technicians, investigators and security staff who need to trace leaks, check documents and examine evidence.
The Stylus Pro USB UV is a USB rechargeable penlight built around a 400 nm ultraviolet LED, supplied in black with a Bite Boot and a nylon holster.
It gives 250 mW of ultraviolet output with 2.5 hours of run time, and the lithium-ion cell recharges inside the light in 2.5 hours through the protected micro USB port.
Key features
- Ultraviolet detection — The 400 nm ultraviolet LED is intended for leak detection and for reviewing fraudulent documents.
- In-product recharging — The lithium-ion cell recharges in the light in 2.5 hours, with a charge indication LED showing red while charging and green when charged.
- Tail switch operation — A push-button tail switch selects momentary or constant-on operation.
- Protected charge port — A water-resistant sliding metal sleeve covers the USB port in use.
- Machined aluminium body — The housing is 6000 series machined aircraft aluminium with an anodised finish and a gasket-sealed glass lens.
- Sealed and tested — It is IPX4 water-resistant and tested to 1 metre impact resistance.
- Hands-free Bite Boot — The supplied Bite Boot lets the penlight be held in the mouth for hands-free work.
- Pocket-sized format — It measures 15.1 cm long and 16 mm across the body and weighs 51 g with the battery.
Typical applications
- Tracing engine and air-conditioning leaks in vehicle and plant servicing
- Checking documents for signs of forgery at counters and checkpoints
