Description
The Stinger HPL 12V DC Smart Charge is a long-range rechargeable duty torch for police, security and fire crews, producing 800 lumens and a 438 m beam.
Three output levels let the beam be matched to the task: high gives 800 lumens, 48,000 candela and a 438 m beam for 1.5 hrs, medium gives 400 lumens for 2.5 hrs, and low gives 200 lumens for 5 hrs. A strobe setting runs 3 hours.
Power comes from a 3-cell, 3.6 volt, 2.6 Ah NiMH sub-C battery that is rechargeable up to 1,000 times. This version is supplied in the 12V DC Smart Charge configuration, and the Smart Charger fully recharges the light within 3 hours on a 12V DC input or 4.5 hours on a 5V/1A USB input.
The body is 6000 series machined aircraft aluminium with a non-slip rubberised comfort grip and an anti-roll rubber ring, fronted by an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating; it is rated IPX4 for water resistance, tested to 3 m impact resistance, and measures 23.44 cm at 385 g with its battery.
