The Double Clutch USB switches between spot and flood beams with a simple twist of the facecap, which also turns the light on and off, even while wearing gloves. On high it produces 125 lumens, with a spot beam reaching 82 m and a flood beam reaching 31 m; switching to low reduces output to 30 lumens but extends run time from 3.5 hours to 10 hours on the lithium polymer battery, or from 6 hours to 18 hours on alkaline back-up batteries.
It runs on a multi-fuel system: a USB rechargeable lithium polymer battery, or three AAA alkaline or lithium back-up cells for use away from mains power. The tough polycarbonate body has a polycarbonate lens, is IPX4 water-resistant and impact resistance tested to 2 m, with a 60° tilting head. A locking mechanism opens easily for recharging or replacing batteries yet keeps the body closed if the headlamp is dropped, and a low-profile design with an optimised centre of gravity provides comfort and stability during use.
