Description
Electronic hearing protector with switchable attenuation, designed for hunting and shooting, in green with a leather headband.
The Sordin Supreme Pro-X SFA is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. A detachable distance ring and additional insert let the wearer change between two attenuation levels.
This configuration has a leather headband, foam cushions and green cups. Its attenuation under EN 352 is SNR 31 dB, with H 32 dB / M 29 dB / L 23 dB.
The SordinHEAR2 audio system offers four audio profiles: Hunting, Focus, Shooting and Comms. Loud impulse noise is compressed to a maximum of 82 dB(A), while harmless ambient sound is amplified and adjusted from a keypad on the right-hand cup.
Two AAA/LR03 batteries give an estimated operating time of around 400 hours. The microphones and battery compartment are waterproof, and the headset is IP67 tested.
Key features
- Switchable attenuation — Removing or inserting the distance ring and extra insert changes the SNR between 31 and 26 dB.
- SordinHEAR2 audio profiles — SordinHEAR2 provides four audio profiles: Hunting, Shooting, Focus and Comms.
- Level-dependent listening — Ambient sound such as warning signals and moving vehicles remains audible while the wearer is protected from hazardous noise.
- Impulse noise limiting — Loud impulse noise is automatically compressed to a maximum of 82 dB.
- Slim cup design — The slim cups suit both right- and left-handed shooters and give efficient attenuation when wearing glasses.
- Waterproof microphones — The externally mounted microphones are waterproof and IP67 tested, as is the battery compartment.
- AUX audio input — A 3.5-mm AUX input connects an external device such as a mobile phone or hunting radio, and a 3.5-mm mono cable is included.
- Battery management — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours without a button press and warns when approximately 40 hours of battery time are left.
- Helmet mounting — The headset is ARC-rail compatible for helmet mounting.
- Sealing rings — PVC foam sealing rings are fitted as standard, and gel rings are available as an accessory.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where natural ambient sound reproduction helps the wearer detect faint sounds from game animals.
- Sport and range shooting, where harmless surrounding sound stays audible while the wearer is protected.
- Left- and right-handed shooters and glasses wearers who need a slim cup design.
