Description
An electronic hearing protector with neckband suspension, designed specifically for hunting and shooting, with level-dependent sound limited to 82 dB(A).
Sordin Supreme Pro-X is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. This version has a neckband suspension and is finished in black, with a PVC foam sealing cushion.
It uses digital audio technology to compress impulse noise to a secure level of 82 dB(A), while harmless surrounding sound is amplified and volume controlled from an external keypad on the right-hand cup. The SordinHEAR2 sound system offers four selectable audio profiles: Hunter, Focus, Shooter and Ambient off.
This configuration is rated SNR 28 and NRR 21 and is listed with the EN 352-1:2020, EN 352-4:2020 and EN 352-6:2020 standards. It runs on 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries, with an estimated operating time of around 400 hours. The microphones and battery compartment are IP67-tested.
Key features
- SordinHEAR2 audio profiles — SordinHEAR2 provides four selectable audio profiles: Hunter, Focus, Shooter and Ambient off.
- Impulse noise limited — Loud impulse noise is automatically compressed to a maximum of 82 dB, while harmless ambient sound is amplified.
- Natural directional sound — Ambient sound is reproduced naturally and with high directional sensitivity, helping hunters detect very faint sounds from game animals.
- Waterproof microphones — The externally mounted microphones are waterproof and IP67-tested, as is the battery compartment.
- Slim cups — The slim cup design suits both right- and left-handed shooters and keeps attenuation efficient when eyeglasses are worn.
- AUX input — A 3.5 mm AUX input connects a communication radio or an external audio source such as a mobile phone or hunting radio.
- Automatic switch-off — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed, and warns when the battery is running low.
- Keypad controls — Easy-to-use push buttons on an external keypad operate the electronic functions.
- Robust electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where harmless ambient sound stays audible while harmful noise is limited.
- Sport and range shooting for right- and left-handed shooters, including those who wear eyeglasses.
- Use with a hunting radio or other external audio source connected through the AUX input.
