Description
Electronic hearing protector for hunting and shooting, with a leather headband and green cups, limiting impulse noise to 82 dB(A) while keeping ambient sound natural.
Sordin Supreme Pro-X is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. It uses digital audio technology to compress impulse noise to a secure level of 82 dB(A), while harmless surrounding sound is amplified and volume controlled from an external keypad on the right-hand cup.
This version has a leather headband with green cups and foam cushions. Its attenuation is SNR 28 dB (H 29 dB / M 25 dB / L 19 dB) under EN 352, and NRR 21 dB under ANSI S3.19.
The SordinHEAR2 sound system provides four audio profiles, and the electronics run on 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries with an estimated operating time of around 400 hours. The microphones and battery compartment are IP67 tested.
Key features
- SordinHEAR2 audio profiles — The SordinHEAR2 sound system offers four selectable audio profiles.
- 82 dB(A) limitation — Loud impulse noise is automatically compressed to a maximum of 82 dB while harmless ambient sound is amplified.
- Natural directional sound — Ambient sound is reproduced naturally and with high directional sensitivity, helping hunters detect very faint sounds from game animals.
- Slim cup design — Slim cups suit both right- and left-handed shooters and keep attenuation efficient when eyeglasses are worn.
- Waterproof microphones — The externally mounted microphones are waterproof and the design, including the battery compartment, is IP67 tested.
- 3.5 mm AUX input — A 3.5 mm AUX input connects a communication radio or an external device such as a mobile phone or hunting radio.
- External push-button keypad — Easy-to-use push buttons on the right-hand cup control the electronic functions.
- Auto power off — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed, saving battery time.
- Low battery warning — A warning sounds when approximately 40 hours of battery time are left.
- Encapsulated electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where faint sounds from game animals need to be heard while hearing stays protected.
- Sport and range shooting, for left- and right-handed shooters alike.
- Shooting with a communication radio or external audio source connected to the AUX input.
