Description
Electronic hearing protector for hunting and shooting, with digital sound processing and a leather headband, in black.
Sordin Supreme Pro-X is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. It uses digital audio technology to compress impulse noise to a secure level of 82 dB(A), while harmless surrounding sound is amplified and volume controlled from an external keypad on the right-hand cup.
This version has a leather headband and foam cushions, in black. Its attenuation is SNR 28 dB under EN 352, with H 29 dB, M 25 dB and L 19 dB, and NRR 21 dB under ANSI S3.19.
The SordinHEAR2 audio system offers four selectable audio profiles. The headset runs on 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries with an estimated operating time of around 400 hours, and it switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed. The microphones and the battery compartment are IP67 tested.
Key features
- Compact cup design — The slim cups suit both right- and left-handed shooters and allow efficient attenuation even when wearing eyeglasses.
- SordinHEAR2 audio profiles — SordinHEAR2 provides four selectable audio profiles with natural ambient sound reproduction.
- 82 dB(A) limitation — Loud impulse noise is automatically compressed to a maximum of 82 dB(A) while harmless ambient sound is amplified.
- IP67-tested microphones — The externally mounted microphones are waterproof and IP67 tested, as is the battery compartment.
- External keypad — Easy-to-use push buttons on the external keypad control the electronic functions.
- 3.5 mm AUX input — A 3.5 mm AUX input connects a communication radio or an external audio source such as a mobile phone or hunting radio.
- Auto power off — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed, which saves battery time.
- Low battery warning — A low battery warning sounds when approximately 40 hours of battery time is left.
- Robust electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where faint sounds from game animals need to be detected while hearing stays protected.
- Sport and range shooting with protection against loud impulse noise.
- Shooters who wear eyeglasses or shoot left-handed and need slim cups.
