Description
Electronic hearing protector with a black textile headband, designed specifically for hunting and shooting, with level-dependent sound reproduction.
Sordin Supreme Pro-X is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. It uses digital audio technology to compress impulse noise to a secure level of 82 dB(A), while harmless surrounding sound is amplified and volume controlled from an external keypad on the right-hand cup.
This version has a textile headband in black, black cups and foam cushions. Attenuation to EN 352 is SNR 28 dB, with H 29 dB, M 25 dB and L 19 dB, and the NRR to ANSI S3.19 is 21 dB.
The SordinHEAR2 sound system offers four audio profiles. Power comes from 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries, with an estimated operating time of around 400 hours, and the microphones and battery compartment are IP67-tested.
Key features
- SordinHEAR2 audio profiles — SordinHEAR2 gives four selectable audio profiles: Hunter, Focus, Shooter and Ambient off.
- Limited ambient sound — Harmless ambient sound is amplified naturally while loud impulse noise is compressed to a maximum of 82 dB.
- Slim cup design — The slim cups suit both right- and left-handed shooters and give efficient attenuation even when wearing eyeglasses.
- IP67-tested electronics — The externally mounted microphones and the battery compartment are waterproof and IP67-tested.
- AUX input — A 3.5 mm AUX input connects a communication radio or an external audio source such as a mobile phone or hunting radio.
- External keypad — Push buttons on the external keypad control the electronic functions.
- Automatic switch-off — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed, and warns when approximately 40 hours of battery time is left.
- Encapsulated electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where amplified ambient sound helps detect faint sounds from game animals.
- Sport and target shooting, with loud impulse noise limited automatically.
- Use with a communication radio or hunting radio connected to the AUX input.
