Description
An electronic hearing protector with a leather headband and green cups, designed specifically for hunting and shooting.
Sordin Supreme Pro is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. It uses digital audio technology to compress impulse noise to a secure level of 82 dB(A), while harmless surrounding sound is amplified and volume controlled using an external keypad on the right-hand cup.
This version has a leather headband and foam cushions, with green cups. Attenuation to EN 352 is SNR 28 dB, with H 29 dB, M 25 dB and L 19 dB, and the NRR to ANSI S3.19 is 21 dB.
It runs on 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries with an estimated operating time of around 400 hours, and the microphones and battery compartment are waterproof and IP67 tested.
Key features
- Impulse noise limiting — Loud impulse noise is automatically compressed to maximum 82 dB.
- Ambient sound — Harmless ambient sound is amplified while harmful noise is blocked, so warning signals, moving vehicles and important information can still be heard.
- Natural sound — High-quality speakers inside the cups reproduce ambient sound naturally.
- Waterproof microphones — The externally mounted microphones and the battery compartment are waterproof and IP67 tested.
- AUX audio input — A 3.5-mm AUX input connects an external audio source such as a communication radio, a mobile phone or a hunting radio, and a 3.5-mm mono cable is included.
- Slim cup design — The slim cups suit both right- and left-handed shooters and keep attenuation efficient when wearing glasses.
- Simple keypad control — Easy-to-use push buttons on the external keypad operate the electronic functions.
- Battery management — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button is pressed, and warns of low battery when approximately 40 hours is left.
- Encapsulated electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
- Gel rings available — Sealing rings of PVC foam are fitted as standard, and gel rings are available as accessories in hygiene kits.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where faint sounds from game animals need to be heard while hearing stays protected.
- Sport shooting, for left- and right-handed shooters alike.
- Situations where an external audio source such as a hunting radio is connected through the AUX input.
