Description
A rugged 1-8x28 variable riflescope with an illuminated first focal plane MRAD reticle, for users who need close quarter speed and long-distance precision.
The VCOG 1-8x28 Commercial SCO is a variable magnification riflescope designed for close quarter battle (CQB) and long distance marksmanship, functionally identical to the USMC Squad Common Optic (SCO) VCOG.
It carries a red MRAD Segmented Circle Enhanced reticle in the first focal plane, illuminated by an LED powered by a single AA battery, so subtensions and drops remain true at any magnification.
The forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing is finished in FDE FIR-265 Cerakote, and the scope is supplied with a Larue Tactical LT799 Mount and Tenebraex Flip Caps.
Key features
- First focal plane reticle — The reticle scales with magnification, letting the shooter rapidly acquire the target and apply the correct hold throughout the magnification range.
- Multi-platform reticle — The universal segmented circle / MRAD crosshair dot with wind holds is designed for multi-platform use, accommodating multiple calibres, ammunition weights and barrel lengths.
- Eleven brightness settings — The LED reticle offers 11 user-selectable settings: 2 night vision, 8 day and 1 super-bright, with an off position between each setting.
- Long battery life — A lithium AA battery, included, gives a battery life of 633 hours at setting 6.
- Integrated dial fin — An integrated dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and near-constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustments are needed.
- Rugged construction — The forged aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium housing and ruggedised electronics are tested to MIL-STD-810G, and the scope is waterproof to 20 metres.
- Easy adjusters — Windage and elevation adjust in 0.1 MRAD clicks over a 35 MRAD range.
Typical applications
- Close quarter battle where fast target acquisition at low magnification matters.
- Long distance marksmanship using the MRAD holds at higher magnification.
- Duty and professional rifles that must work day and night, using the 2 night vision illumination settings.
