Description
A rugged 1-8x variable riflescope with a red first focal plane MRAD reticle and Larue Tactical® LT799 Mount, for close quarter battle and long distance marksmanship.
The Trijicon VCOG® 1-8x28 Commercial SCO is a variable magnification riflescope designed for close quarter battle (CQB) and long distance marksmanship, and is functionally identical to the USMC Squad Common Optic (SCO) VCOG.
It carries a red MRAD Segmented Circle Enhanced reticle in the first focal plane, so subtensions and drops remain true at any magnification; the reticle is designed for multi-platform use across multiple calibres, ammunition weights and barrel lengths.
The LED reticle is powered by a single AA battery (provided), the housing is forged 7075-T6 aluminium, and the scope is supplied with a Larue Tactical® LT799 Mount and Tenebraex® Flip Caps.
Key features
- First focal plane reticle — The first focal plane reticle lets the user acquire the target quickly and apply the correct hold throughout the magnification range.
- Adjustable LED illumination — The LED reticle offers 11 settings, 2 night vision, 8 day and 1 super-bright, with an off position between each setting.
- Long battery life — A single AA battery gives a battery life of 633 hours at setting 6.
- Integrated dial fin — An integrated dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and near-constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustments are needed.
- Rugged forged housing — The forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing is tested to MIL-STD-810G and the scope is waterproof to 20m.
- Multi-coated lenses — Multi-coated lenses provide clarity and light-gathering capability with zero distortion.
- Mount included — The Larue Tactical® LT799 Mount is included, and windage and elevation adjust in 0.1 MRAD clicks.
Typical applications
- Close quarter battle at the lowest magnification for fast target acquisition.
- Long distance marksmanship with holds applied directly from the reticle.
- Duty and military rifles used across different calibres, ammunition weights and barrel lengths.
- Low-light and night vision operations using the dedicated night vision settings.
