Description
An extra-large canvas edge pad that protects rope from abrasion where it runs over edges, for rescue, rope-access and arborist teams.
This heavy-duty edge pad is made from rugged 24-oz #4 canvas. It protects ropes from abrasion and helps keep them clean, increasing their life.
It also reduces the amount a rope digs into a soft edge, such as the berm of a road, and works well over most edges.
Key features
- Rope abrasion protection — Protects ropes from abrasion and helps keep them clean, which increases their life.
- Soft-edge support — Reduces the amount a rope digs into a soft edge, such as the berm of a road.
- Integrated corner loops — Strong integrated corner web loops replace metal grommets and allow the pad to be anchored in place when needed.
- Offset loops for joining — A set of additional offset web loops allows overlap when joining two or more pads to extend coverage.
- Wraps around structures — Also protects the rope when wrapped around trees, rails and beams.
Typical applications
- Protecting rope where it runs over a rough or sharp edge.
- Cushioning a rope on a soft edge such as a road berm.
- Wrapping around a tree, rail or beam to guard the rope at a contact point.
