Descripción
A large edge guard in black that protects rescue ropes, anchor ropes and webbing from abrasion at sharp or rough edges.
The Edge Guard is made from tough #4 duck canvas with a layer of vinyl coated polyester, and wraps around a rope or webbing to protect it where it passes over an edge.
This large size is 24 in (61 cm) long.
Key features
- Canvas and vinyl construction — Tough #4 duck canvas is combined with a layer of vinyl coated polyester to protect the rope.
- Hook-and-loop closure — A two-inch strip of hook-and-loop closes the guard around the rope or webbing.
- Web loop anchor — A strong web loop lets you anchor the guard to keep it in place.
- No grommets — Grommets are not used, as a moving rope can abrade a grommet enough to create a sharp edge.
Typical applications
- Protecting rescue ropes where they run over rough or sharp edges.
- Protecting anchor ropes and webbing at the anchor point.
