Description
A 1-8x28 variable-magnification riflescope with an illuminated red MRAD crosshair dot reticle, for professional users who need close quarter battle and long-distance capability in one optic.
The VCOG 1-8x28 is a rugged variable-magnification riflescope designed for close quarter battle (CQB) and long distance marksmanship, built on a forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing in a matte black finish.
Its red segmented circle / MRAD crosshair dot reticle sits in the first focal plane, so subtensions and drops remain true at any magnification. The reticle is LED-illuminated and powered by a single AA battery, with 11 brightness settings: 2 night vision, 8 day and 1 super-bright.
The scope comes with a Flattop Thumbscrew Mount (TA51), so no conventional rings are needed.
Key features
- First focal plane reticle — Subtensions and drops remain true at any magnification, so the correct hold can be applied quickly and accurately throughout the magnification range.
- Universal MRAD reticle — The segmented circle / MRAD crosshair dot reticle is designed for multi-platform use, accommodating multiple calibres, ammunition weights and barrel lengths.
- LED illumination — The ruggedised LED reticle runs on one AA battery and offers a battery life of 633 hours at setting 6, with an off position between each of the 11 brightness settings.
- Integrated dial fin — An integrated dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and the near-constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustments are needed.
- Integrated mounting adapter — The thumbscrew flattop adapter replaces conventional ring mounts and is compatible with many rails designed to fit the Trijicon ACOG.
- Rugged, waterproof housing — The forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing is tested to MIL-STD-810G and is waterproof to 20 metres (66 ft.).
- Multi-coated lenses — Multi-coated lenses provide clarity and light-gathering capability with zero distortion.
Typical applications
- Close quarter battle work at low magnification with a fast illuminated aiming point.
- Longer-distance marksmanship using the MRAD reticle for holds and corrections.
- Duty and professional rifles that are moved between platforms and ammunition types.
- Use in low light, with two dedicated night vision brightness settings.
