Description
A rugged 1-8x28 variable riflescope with an illuminated first focal plane reticle and quick-release mount, for close quarter battle and long distance marksmanship.
The VCOG 1-8x28 is a variable magnification riflescope designed for close quarter battle (CQB) and long distance marksmanship, built around a forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing.
Its red segmented circle / MOA crosshair dot reticle sits in the first focal plane, so subtensions and drops remain true at any magnification, and it is LED-illuminated, powered by a single AA battery.
It comes with a quick-release mount with Trijicon Q-LOC Technology that fits any Mil-Spec or NATO Picatinny rail.
Key features
- First focal plane — The first focal plane reticle lets the shooter rapidly acquire the target and apply the correct hold throughout the magnification range.
- Universal reticle — The universal segmented circle / MOA crosshair dot reticle is designed for multi-platform use, accommodating multiple calibres, ammunition weights and barrel lengths.
- 11 brightness settings — Choose from 11 user-selectable brightness settings: 2 night vision settings, 8 day settings and 1 super-bright setting, with an off position between each setting.
- Long battery life — A lithium AA battery (provided) gives a battery life of 633 hours at setting 6.
- Dial fin, constant eye relief — An integrated dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and near-constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustments are needed.
- Rugged and waterproof — The forged 7075-T6 aluminium housing is tested to MIL-STD-810G and waterproof to 20 metres (66 ft.).
- Q-LOC quick-release mount — The spring-loaded 6061-T6 aluminium mount is fitted one-handed without tools and maintains zero even if the knobs are not tightened.
- Multi-coated lenses — Multi-coated lenses provide clarity and light-gathering capability with zero distortion.
Typical applications
- Close quarter battle and dynamic engagements where fast target acquisition at low magnification matters.
- Long distance marksmanship requiring accurate holds across the magnification range.
- Duty and service rifles that need an optic which can be removed and refitted quickly.
- Low-light and night vision use with dedicated reticle settings.
