Description
A fixed 6x48 ACOG riflescope with a red horseshoe/dot .308 / 7.62 BDC reticle, for military and professional users engaging targets at extended range.
The ACOG 6x48 is a fixed 6x magnification riflescope with a 48mm objective, built as a magnified, self-luminous tactical sight that aids target identification and hit probability on extended-range shots.
Its red dot aiming point is circled by a black horseshoe, and a bullet drop compensator adds aiming points estimated for the trajectory of the 7.62mm M80 out to 1200 metres, calibrated for .308 / 7.62.
The reticle is illuminated by fibre optics and tritium, with no external power source; it comes with a thumbscrew mount and a Picatinny rail adapter included.
Key features
- Battery-free illumination — The tritium and fibre optic illuminated reticle adjusts its brightness automatically to the available light.
- Both-eyes-open aiming — Trijicon's Bindon Aiming Concept (BAC) supports both-eyes-open aiming for improved situational awareness and faster target acquisition.
- Calibrated BDC reticle — The bullet drop compensating reticle gives additional aiming points for the 7.62mm M80 out to 1200 metres.
- Fixed-power housing — The fixed-power design keeps moving parts to a minimum, in a forged aluminium housing with a matte black finish.
- Shock resistant — The sight is proven to withstand recoil from a .22LR to a .50BMG and passes U.S. Military drop test requirements.
- Waterproof and fog-free — The dry nitrogen-filled housing mitigates fogging, and the sight is waterproof to 66 feet.
- Multi-coated optics — Multi-coated lenses maximise light-gathering capability and give a clear field of view.
Typical applications
- Extended-range target identification and engagement with .308 / 7.62 rifles.
- Military and law enforcement duty where a self-luminous, always-on sight is required.
- Operations in wet, cold or hot conditions that demand a sealed, fog-free optic.
