Description
A fixed 4x32 ACOG riflescope with a fibre optic and tritium illuminated red horseshoe/dot BDC reticle, built to USMC specifications for M16A4 and M16M4 rifles.
This Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) combines 4x magnification and a 32mm objective with a red horseshoe/dot reticle, and is designed for the USMC M16A4 weapon system or the M16M4.
The reticle is illuminated by fibre optics and tritium, so the aiming point is always lit without batteries, and its bullet drop compensator is calibrated for 0.223 (14.5 or 20 in. barrel).
It is supplied with the Flattop Thumbscrew Mount (TA51) in a matte black forged aluminium housing.
Key features
- Dual illumination — Tritium illuminates the aiming point in total darkness, while the fibre optic self-adjusts reticle brightness to ambient daylight conditions.
- Both eyes open — The Bindon Aiming Concept (BAC) allows shooting with both eyes open for improved situational awareness.
- Bullet drop compensator — The reticle gives quick target acquisition at close combat ranges and enhanced target identification and hit probability out to 1,000 metres using the bullet drop compensator.
- Adjustment without tools — External adjusters allow windage and elevation adjustments without tools, with two 1/10 miliradian adjuster assemblies, caps and a cap lanyard included.
- Fixed-power housing — The fixed-power design keeps moving parts to a minimum, and the optic is proven to withstand recoil from a .22LR to a .50BMG.
- Waterproof and fog-free — The housing is waterproof and dry nitrogen-filled to eliminate fogging, and is tested to perform in extreme cold and heat.
- Multi-coated lenses — Multi-coated lenses maximise light-gathering and give a clear field of view.
Typical applications
- Service rifle optic for M16A4 and M16M4 weapon systems in military units
- Day and night engagements with a reticle illuminated by fibre optics and tritium
- Designated marksman and patrol use requiring holds at extended ranges
