Description
Three-dot tritium iron sights with extra height, for shooters who run a suppressor or want backup sights alongside a slide-mounted red dot.
These are suppressor and optic height iron sights with green tritium lamps, front and rear, each ringed in white paint.
The additional height clears the added height of a suppressor, and the sights can also serve as backup iron sights with the Trijicon RMR®.
The sights fit Springfield Armory® XD®, XD-M®, XD® Mod. 2™, and XD-S™(Excluding XD-S OSP).
Key features
- Suppressor clearance — The increased height allows use with a suppressor, where standard height sights give no aiming solution.
- Backup iron sights — They can also be used as backup iron sights for a slide-mounted red dot sight, such as the Trijicon RMR®.
- Battery-free glow — The tritium phosphor-filled glass lamps glow without a battery, giving a visible sight picture in no-light and low-light situations.
- Daylight visibility — White-painted rings around the tritium lamps help the shooter see the sight picture in bright light.
- Recoil protection — The tritium gas lamps sit inside protective aluminium cylinders with additional silicone rubber cushioning, guarding against heavy recoil and harsh cleaning solvents.
- Even light output — Each tritium lamp is capped with a sapphire jewel that distributes the light evenly and adds protection against puncture and cleaning solvents.
Typical applications
- Suppressed pistols where standard height sights cannot be used to aim.
- Backup iron sights on slide-mounted red dot equipped pistols.
- Low-light and no-light shooting where a visible sight picture is needed. Installation by a gunsmith or armourer is recommended.
