Description
A compact, rechargeable dual-switch flashlight for professional users who want a pocketable light with three output levels and up to 24 hours of runtime on low.
The Strion DS is a compact rechargeable flashlight with both a head switch and a tail switch, so it can be held and operated whichever way the hand falls.
Three output levels and a strobe run from a lithium-ion battery that fully recharges in 3.5 hours, keeping the light in service across long shifts.
This is the 12V DC version, built around an anodised aluminium body, a gasket-sealed glass lens and an IPX4-rated, water-resistant design.
Key features
- Dual switch control — A head switch and a tail switch both operate the light, giving hand-hold flexibility however it is gripped.
- 375 lumen high mode — High mode delivers 375 lumens, 12,000 candela and a 219 m beam for 2.5 hours.
- Medium and low levels — Medium runs at 150 lumens for 6.25 hours and low at 40 lumens for 24 hours.
- Strobe setting — A strobe mode is available and runs for 5 hours.
- Rechargeable lithium-ion — The 3.63 V, 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery fully recharges in 3.5 hours.
- Sealed glass optic — A gasket-sealed Borofloat high temperature glass lens is set into an anodised aluminium body.
- Water and impact resistance — The light is IPX4-rated and water-resistant, and has been impact resistance tested to 2 metres.
- Pocketable size — At 16.26 cm long and 153 g with battery, it carries easily in a pocket or a duty holster.
Typical applications
- Night patrols and vehicle-based work, where the light must be ready to grab and to use with one hand.
- Searching rooms, lofts and crawl spaces, where the beam has to be varied quickly.
- Maintenance and inspection work in plant rooms, machinery spaces and other dark interiors.
