Description
Compact rechargeable dual-switch torch for police, security and industrial users who need 375 lumens in the hand and 24 hours of runtime on low.
The Strion DS carries a head switch and a tail switch on one compact rechargeable body, so the beam can be worked one-handed from any grip without moving the hand to a single control point.
Three output levels cover the working range: 375 lumens, 12,000 candela and 219 m of beam distance on high, 150 lumens on medium, and 40 lumens with 24 hours of runtime on low.
The lithium-ion battery fully recharges in 3.5 hours, and the 3.63V, 2600mAh cell is rated for recharging up to 1000 times.
Key features
- Head and tail switches — Both switches control the light, so it can be operated from either end in whichever hand position the job allows.
- Three output levels — High delivers 375 lumens, 12,000 candela and 219 m of beam distance for 2.5 hours, with 150 lumens on medium for 6.25 hours.
- Full shift on low — Low holds 40 lumens for 24 hours, enough for a long shift of close work between charges.
- Quick recharge — The lithium-ion battery fully recharges in 3.5 hours and takes 3.63V, 2600mAh of capacity.
- Sealed glass optic — A gasket-sealed Borofloat high temperature glass lens sits in a machined aircraft aluminium body with an anodised finish.
- Water and impact resistant — The torch is IPX4-rated and water-resistant, and is tested to 2-metre impact resistance.
- Pocketable format — It measures 16.26 cm with a 3.18 cm head and weighs 153 g with the battery fitted.
- Two charge holders — This item is the 120V/100V AC/12V DC configuration with two charge holders.
Typical applications
- Patrol and general policing work where a light has to be drawn and used one-handed.
- Security rounds through buildings, yards and car parks at night.
- Industrial maintenance and inspection work in plant rooms and vehicle bays.
- Everyday professional carry where a pocket-sized light must stay ready between shifts.
