Description
A rechargeable 1,200 lumen hand-held LED torch supplied as the 12V DC version, for police, security and industrial users needing a compact duty light.
The Strion 2020 is a rechargeable LED torch built around an intuitive mode select switch and two switches that function independently of one another, one at the head and one at the tail.
On high it produces 1,200 lumens and 28,000 candela for a beam distance of 335 m and a run time of 1.75 hrs. Medium gives 460 lumens for 5.5 hrs and low 120 lumens for 12 hrs.
This version is the 12V DC configuration, and the lithium-ion battery fully recharges in 4.5 hours and works with existing Strion chargers, so fleets already running Strion lights can keep the charging bases they have.
Key features
- Three output levels — High, medium and low deliver 1,200, 460 and 120 lumens, letting the user match output to the task.
- Mode select switch — An intuitive mode select switch chooses the output level directly, so there is no cycling through the settings.
- Independent switches — The head switch and the tail switch function independently of one another.
- Long run times — Run time is 1.75 hrs on high, 5.5 hrs on medium and 12 hrs on low, and the strobe runs 3.5 hours.
- 12V DC charging — Supplied in the 12V DC configuration, with a 3450mAh lithium-ion battery that fully recharges in 4.5 hours and works with existing Strion chargers.
- Sealed against water — The torch is IPX7-rated and waterproof to 1m submersion.
- Durable body — The body is machined from 6000 series aircraft aluminium with an anodised finish and is 2-meter impact resistance tested.
- Compact and light — At 16.1 cm long and 161.6 g the torch carries easily on a belt or in a pocket.
Typical applications
- Patrol and response work where a compact hand-held light must be ready at the start of every shift.
- Vehicle-based duty use, with the torch kept on charge between calls.
- Security and facility patrol indoors and out, such as dark plant rooms and perimeter checks.
- Industrial inspection and maintenance tasks that call for a steady, controllable beam in confined spaces.
