Description
The Stinger DS HPL is a long-range rechargeable duty light for security, industrial and emergency-services users, supplied without a charger.
On high the light produces 800 lumens and 48,000 candela and reaches 438 metres, while the medium and low settings give 400 and 200 lumens for closer work.
The DS version carries a head switch and a tail switch that operate independently, so high, medium, low and strobe can be selected from either end of the body.
Run times are 1.5 hours on high, 2.5 hours on medium and 5 hours on low, with 3 hours in strobe, from a 3-cell, 3.6 volt, 2.6 Ah NiMH sub-C battery that recharges up to 1,000 times.
Key features
- 800 lumen output — High mode delivers 800 lumens at 48,000 candela for wide close-up visibility as well as distance work.
- 438 metre beam — The beam reaches 438 metres on high, 310 metres on medium and 219 metres on low.
- Dual independent switches — A head switch and a tail switch each give full control of the light and operate independently of one another.

- Four output modes — High, medium, low and strobe cover close inspection through to long-distance searching, with strobe running 3 hours.
- Machined aluminium body — The 6000 series machined aircraft aluminium body has a non-slip rubberised comfort grip and an anti-roll rubber ring.
- Water and impact resistance — The light is IPX4 water-resistant and tested to 3 metre impact resistance.
- Unbreakable lens — An unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating protects the head.
