Description
The Stinger 2020 is a rechargeable 2,000 lumen aluminium duty torch for police, security and industrial users who need selectable High, Medium and Low output.
The Stinger 2020 gives 2,000 lumens and a 315 m beam on High, 850 lumens on Medium and 100 lumens on Low, so a single torch covers long-range search and close-up work.
Power comes from two SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery packs of 2,600 mAh that can be recharged up to 500 times. They charge with existing Stinger chargers, with a USB cord or with an optional SL-B26 bank charger.
The anodised aluminium body has an anti-roll shape and a textured grip, is IPX7 waterproof to 1 m and has been tested to 2-metre impact resistance.
Key features
- Three output modes — High gives 2,000 lumens for 2 hrs, Medium 850 lumens for 4 hrs and Low 100 lumens for 24 hrs.
- Strobe mode — A strobe mode runs for 3.25 hrs when a warning signal is needed.
- Dual switches — Dual power switches and an intuitive mode selector switch keep one-handed operation simple.
- USB rechargeable packs — Two SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery packs of 2,600 mAh are rechargeable up to 500 times.
- Flexible charging — The light charges with existing Stinger chargers, with the included “Y” USB cord or with an optional SL-B26 bank charger.
- Smart charger times — With the smart charger the packs fully recharge within 8 hours from a 5V/1A USB input or 6 hours from a 12VDC input.
- Sealed durable build — Anodised aluminium construction, gasket-sealed impact-resistant BOROFLOAT glass, IPX7 waterproofing to 1 m and 2-metre impact testing suit daily duty use.
- Duty-size format — It measures 19.48 cm long with a major diameter of 4.11 cm and weighs 350 g with batteries.
Typical applications
- Police and security patrols that carry a hand-held torch through a full shift
- Vehicle, machinery and plant inspections by maintenance and service engineers
- Scene and search work for fire and emergency services after dark
- General industrial and facility work where a hard-wearing duty torch is needed
