Description
A rechargeable 2,000 lumen duty torch for police, security and industrial users who need high, medium and low output from one mode switch.
The Stinger 2020 is a rechargeable LED torch built around an anodised aluminium body with an ergonomic, anti-roll shape and a textured grip. Its intuitive mode switch selects high, medium or low, and the head and tail switches work independently of one another.
Power comes from two SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery packs of 2,600 mAh that are rechargeable up to 500 times. They charge from existing Stinger chargers, a USB cord or an optional SL-B26 bank charger.
Key features
- High output — High delivers 2,000 lumens and 25,000 candela with a beam distance of 315m for 2 hrs.
- Medium and low — Medium gives 850 lumens for 4 hrs and low gives 100 lumens for 24 hrs, so the torch covers a long shift between charges.
- Dual independent switches — The intuitive mode switch sets high, medium or low, while the head and tail switches function independently of each other.
- USB rechargeable packs — Two SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery packs charge from existing Stinger chargers, a USB cord or an optional SL-B26 bank charger.
- Smart charger timing — The smart charger fully recharges the packs within 8 hours from a 5V/1A USB input or 6 hours from a 12VDC input.
- Sealed optical front — The torch is IPX7 waterproof to 1m behind high temperature, shock mounted, corrosion-resistant and impact-resistant BOROFLOAT glass that is gasket-sealed.
- Impact resistance tested — The body is tested to 2-meter impact resistance.
- Compact duty format — It measures 19.48 cm long with a major diameter of 4.11 cm and weighs 350 g with batteries.
Typical applications
- Patrol and general duty use by police and security officers who need a bright torch to hand.
- Vehicle-based work such as roadside checks and load inspections, where the torch travels in the cab.
- Industrial maintenance and facility inspections in dark plant rooms, cellars and service ducts.
- Night-time utility and infrastructure call-outs where fixed lighting is poor or absent.
