Description
The Streamlight SL-20LP is a full-size rechargeable polymer duty light for police, fire, utility and industrial users who need a long-throw beam every shift.
The SL-20LP delivers 450 lumens and 70,000 candela on high, throwing a tight beam out to 529 m, while medium and low settings of 225 and 60 lumens cover work at closer range.
Run time is 3.25 hrs on high, 5 hrs on medium and 20 hrs on low, and the strobe runs for 4.5 hours.
Power comes from a 5-cell, 6.0 volt, 2.6 Ahr Ni-MH sub-C battery that is rechargeable up to 1,000 times, so running costs stay low over a long service life.
Key features
- Long-range beam — A peak of 70,000 candela on high carries the beam 529 m down range.
- Three output modes — High, medium and low give 450, 225 and 60 lumens for everything from distance searching to close inspection.
- Strobe for signalling — A strobe mode runs for 4.5 hours for signalling and hazard marking.
- Rechargeable Ni-MH battery — The 5-cell, 6.0 volt, 2.6 Ahr Ni-MH sub-C battery is rechargeable up to 1,000 times.
- Charge status indicator — The illuminated switch housing stays steady while charging and blinks when charging is complete, with a full recharge taking 9 hours.
- Rugged polymer body — The lightweight, impact-resistant nylon polymer case has a non-slip rubber comfort grip, is IPX4 water-resistant and is tested to 1 m impact resistance.
- Sealed polycarbonate lens — An O-ring sealed unbreakable polycarbonate lens with scratch-resistant coating keeps the beam clear in daily service.
- Full-size format — At 33.5 cm (13.2 in) long and 0.59 kg (1.3 lbs) with battery, it is a full-size light for patrol and station use.
Typical applications
- Patrol and traffic duty where a long, tight beam is needed after dark.
- Fire and rescue work in poor visibility.
- Utility and industrial inspection on night shifts.
- Vehicle-based response where the light is kept ready between shifts.
