The PolyTac 90 X produces 500 lumens and 7,000 candela on high, throwing a 167 m beam and running for 2.5 hrs on the two CR123A lithium cells supplied with it. Low output gives 85 lumens and 1,050 candela and stretches run time to 12 hrs for close work.
Multi-fuel operation lets the same body also take one Streamlight SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack, so a fleet can move to rechargeable cells without changing hardware.
The orange housing is high-impact, chemical-resistant nylon, the lens is unbreakable polycarbonate with a silicone anti-scratch coating, and the light is IPX7 waterproof to 1 m for 30 minutes.
