The PolyStinger DS LED is a rechargeable hand-held torch in a super-tough, non-conductive nylon polymer housing with a non-slip rubberised comfort grip. An unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating protects the front, and the DS layout adds a second switch: a head switch and a tail switch that each give full function and work independently of one another.
High gives 485 lumens and 28,000 candela for a 335 m beam and 3 hrs of run time, while medium and low run 5.5 hrs and 10 hrs; a strobe setting runs 7.5 hours.
This version is supplied in black without a charger, for fleets that already hold charging equipment. Its 3-cell, 3.6 volt, 2.6 Ah NiMH sub-C battery can be recharged up to 1,000 times, and a steady charger brings it to full charge within 16 hours.
