Description
The Streamlight MegaStream USB is a high-lumen, rechargeable EDC flashlight for security, maintenance and facilities professionals who carry a compact torch every day.
The MegaStream USB delivers 1,800 lumens and 26,000 candela on high, and steps down to 500 lumens on medium and 150 lumens on low when less output is wanted.
Power comes from one 3,500mAh Streamlight SL-B34 lithium-ion cell with an on-board safety circuit, and the pack can be charged inside or outside the light.
The light measures 13.4 cm long and 2.8 cm in diameter and weighs 152 g with the cell, and a removable pocket clip lets it ride in a pocket or on gear.
Key features
- Three output modes — High, medium and low modes give 1,800, 500 and 150 lumens with run times of 2, 3.5 and 13 hours.
- Long-range beam — The beam reaches 322 m on high, 170 m on medium and 92 m on low.
- Rechargeable cell — The 3,500mAh Streamlight SL-B34 lithium-ion cell has an on-board safety circuit and charges in 5 hours.
- Charge status indicator — An LED on the cell shows red while charging and green when charged, and the self-keying design keeps the charging port correctly aligned.
- Protected charge port — A metal sleeve guards the charge port and slides back to reveal it for charging with the supplied USB-C cord.
- Tail switch operation — A push-button tail switch gives momentary or constant on operation.
- Sealed durable body — The machined aluminium case with Type II MIL-Spec anodised finish and unbreakable polycarbonate lens is IPX7 waterproof to 1 m for 30 minutes and tested to 2 m impact resistance.
- Clip and holster — The pocket clip can be taken off, and a nylon holster is supplied for belt carry.
Typical applications
- Everyday carry for security officers and patrol staff who need a pocketable torch close to hand.
- Inspection of plant rooms, lofts, risers and service ducts where fixed lighting is poor.
- Vehicle and equipment checks by maintenance and roadside technicians.
- Site and perimeter walks after dark for facilities and building-management teams.
