Description
Electronic hearing protector with a built-in LED lamp, designed specifically for hunting and shooting, in green with a textile headband and gel sealing rings.
Sordin Supreme Pro-X LED is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. It has a built-in LED lamp in the right-hand cup for work in the field after dark, and an external keypad on the right-hand cup for volume control.
This version has green cups, a textile headband and gel cushions. Its attenuation under EN 352 is SNR 27 dB (H 29 dB / M 24 dB / L 19 dB), and its NRR under ANSI S3.19 is 21 dB.
The SordinHEAR2 sound system provides four audio profiles: Hunting, Focus, Shooting and Comms. Loud impulse noise is compressed to a maximum of 82 dB(A), while harmless ambient sound is amplified. The headset runs on 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries with an estimated operating time of around 400 hours, and the microphones and battery compartment are waterproof (IP67 tested).
Key features
- Four audio profiles — SordinHEAR2 provides four audio profiles: Hunting, Shooting, Focus and Comms.
- Built-in LED lamp — The LED lamp in the right-hand cup is switched on and off by pressing the + and - buttons simultaneously, and it shuts off automatically after three minutes.
- Level-dependent hearing — The level-dependent function lets you hear ambient sound such as warning signals and moving vehicles while protecting against hazardous noise, with reproduced sound limited to a maximum of 82 dB.
- Waterproof microphones — The externally mounted microphones and the battery compartment are waterproof, and the design is IP67 tested.
- AUX audio input — A 3.5-mm AUX input connects an external audio source such as a mobile phone or hunting radio, and a 3.5-mm mono cable is included.
- Gel sealing rings — Sealing rings made of silicone gel come as standard, and PVC foam rings are available as an accessory.
- Slim cup design — The slim cups suit both right- and left-handed shooters, and attenuation remains efficient when wearing glasses.
- Auto power off — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed, saving battery time.
- Low battery warning — A low battery warning sounds when approximately 40 hours of battery life is left.
- Encapsulated electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
Typical applications
- Hunting in the field, including after dark, where the built-in lamp is useful.
- Sport and practical shooting where loud impulse noise is compressed and ambient sound stays natural.
- Listening to an external audio source or hunting radio through the AUX input.
