Description
Electronic hearing protector with a green textile headband, designed specifically for hunting and shooting.
Sordin Supreme Pro-X is an electronic hearing protector designed specifically for hunting and shooting. It uses digital audio technology to compress impulse noise to a secure level of 82 dB(A), while harmless surrounding sound is amplified and volume controlled from an external keypad on the right-hand cup.
This version is green with a textile headband and foam cushions. Its EN 352 attenuation is SNR 28 dB, with H 29 dB, M 25 dB and L 19 dB, and its ANSI S3.19 NRR is 21 dB.
The SordinHEAR2 sound system gives four audio profiles, and the electronics are powered by 2 x 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries for an estimated operating time of around 400 hours. The microphones and battery compartment are IP67 tested.
Key features
- SordinHEAR2 audio profiles — SordinHEAR2 offers four selectable audio profiles: Hunter, Focus, Shooter and Ambient off.
- 82 dB(A) limitation — Loud impulse noise is automatically compressed to a maximum of 82 dB(A) while harmless ambient sound is amplified.
- Natural ambient sound — Ambient sound is reproduced naturally and with high directional sensitivity, which helps hunters detect very faint sounds from game animals.
- Slim cup design — The slim cups suit both left- and right-handed shooters and keep attenuation efficient when eyeglasses are worn.
- IP67-tested waterproofing — The externally mounted microphones and the battery compartment are IP67 tested and waterproof.
- AUX input — A 3.5 mm AUX input connects a communication radio or an external digital device such as a mobile phone or hunting radio.
- External keypad — Push buttons on the external keypad operate the electronic functions.
- Auto power off — The headset switches off automatically after 4 hours if no button has been pressed, saving battery time.
- Low battery warning — A low battery warning sounds when approximately 40 hours is left of the battery time.
- Encapsulated electronics — The electronic circuits are encapsulated in multiple layers of lacquer and polymer for increased robustness.
Typical applications
- Hunting, where natural ambient sound helps in detecting game animals while hearing stays protected.
- Sport and target shooting, for both left- and right-handed shooters.
