Description
A leg-mounted rappel rope bag that keeps the rope in position for an emergency rappel, made for police and tactical officers.
The Tactical Leg Bag lets a rappel rope be mounted securely to an officer’s leg. It stays out of the way when not needed, yet is in position for an emergency rappel.
A descender and anchoring gear can be connected to the rope and stored inside the top of the bag. It is designed to hold 200 ft (approx. 60 m) of 3/8-inch (9.5 mm) rappel cord.
Key features
- Secure leg mounting — Wide Hook-and-Loop straps keep the bag from bouncing around when moving quickly.
- Adjustable leg loops — The leg straps are secured and adjustable, using 2 inch web and Velcro leg loops.
- Stowable waist tether — A stowable waist belt tether with a quick connect buckle secures the bag to the user’s harness waist belt, which is especially useful when the bag is loaded with rope.
- Reach-in bottom — The reach-in bottom allows the bag to be used easily from both ends.
- Gear stowage — A descender and anchoring gear can be connected to the rope and stored inside the top of the bag.
- Long-life fabric — Constructed from extra long-life 1,000-denier CORDURA® nylon.
Typical applications
- Emergency rappel carried by officers who need the rope in position on the leg
- Tactical operations where the rope must stay out of the way until it is needed
