The Cronus G2 UHD 10x42 is the compact configuration in Athlon's flagship binocular line. UHD extra-low dispersion glass and the E2ES edge-to-edge field-flattening system keep the image sharp and free of chromatic fringing right out to the edge of the field of view, rather than only in the centre as with simpler optical designs.
A magnesium chassis keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a full-size 42 mm binocular needs, and the 10x magnification with a 6.5° angular field suits general field use from woodland hunting to long-session birdwatching.
