Description
A 1-6x24 variable riflescope with an LED-illuminated green horseshoe dot/crosshair reticle, for shooters who need both close quarter battle speed and longer-range marksmanship.
The Trijicon VCOG 1-6x24 is a rugged variable powered riflescope that accommodates close quarter battle (CQB) and long distance marksmanship. This version carries a green horseshoe dot/crosshair reticle in the first focal plane, with bullet drop compensation calibrated for .223 / 55 grain.
The reticle is LED-illuminated and powered by a single AA lithium or alkaline battery, with 6 adjustable brightness settings. The housing is forged 7075-T6 aircraft-aluminium alloy, and the scope arrives with the TA51 flattop thumbscrew mount, so no rings are needed.
Key features
- First focal plane — The first focal plane reticle keeps subtensions and drops true at any magnification, so the correct hold can be applied throughout the magnification range.
- BDC ranging reticle — The bullet drop compensating and ranging reticle lets the shooter quickly estimate range and apply the correct hold for .223 / 55 grain.
- LED illumination — The LED reticle offers 6 brightness settings with an off position between each setting, and a lithium AA battery gives 1400 hours continuous use at setting 4.
- Integrated dial fin — An integrated dial fin allows easy rotation through the magnification range, and the constant eye relief means no head or stock position adjustments are needed.
- Integrated mounting adapter — The included thumbscrew flattop adapter replaces conventional ring mounts and is compatible with many rails designed to fit the Trijicon ACOG.
- Durable, waterproof housing — The forged aluminium housing is tested to MIL-STD-810G and waterproof to 20 metres.
- Multi-coated glass — Multi-coated lenses provide clarity and light-gathering capability with zero distortion.
Typical applications
- Close quarter battle at low magnification with fast target acquisition.
- Longer-range marksmanship using the bullet drop compensating reticle.
- Patrol and duty rifles that must work in low light and wet conditions.
